We can prescribe and fit glasses or contact lenses as well as manage and advise on all aspects of your vision and eye health.
Bulk billed eye tests
Are you suffering from blurry vision or dry eyes?
The good news is the majority of vision problems can be treated or managed if detected early. This is why regular eye tests are so important.
Our qualified optometrist, Shirley Chee, will take the time to assess your vision and find the right solution to suit your unique needs and lifestyle. And all our standard eye tests are bulk billed to Medicare for eligible Medicare cardholders.
Comprehensive Eye exams
A comprehensive eye exam is an essential part of any healthcare routine to detect early signs of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy. Our optometrist will conduct a thorough examination of all aspects of your eye health and monitor any changes over time.
Digital retinal scans
Using digital retinal scans, we can take high-resolution photographs of the back of your eye and compare small changes over time. This is particularly useful in diagnosing slow-moving conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
Myopia Control
Although an outright cure for myopia(shortsightedness)has not been discovered, your optometrist can now offer a number of treatments that may be able to slow the progression of myopia.
These treatments can induce changes in the structure and focusing of the eye using contact lenses or spectacle lenses.
Why should you be interested in myopia control? Because slowing the progression of myopia may keep your child from developing high levels of myopia that require thick spectacle lenses and have been associated with serious eye problems later in life, such as early cataracts, glaucoma or even retinal detachment.
Visual Field Tests
Visual field tests determine whether you have any blind spots in your vision and where they are. We’ll measure your entire scope of vision, both your central and peripheral vision, and check for any signs of damage to the visual field.
CONTACT LENS CONSULTATIONS
Contact lenses can be an effective alternative for vision correction. Our optometrist will thoroughly assess your eyes and advise whether contact lenses are the best option for you. We’ll fit you with trial lenses and take you step by step through the process of caring for and handling your lenses.
CHILDREN’S VISION ASSESSMENTS
Children’s vision is precious and problems can often go unnoticed. We recommend having your child’s eyesight and eye health checked prior to starting school and then every two years thereafter. Our optometrist will thoroughly assess your child’s vision and monitor them over time to detect any changes.
REPAIRS & ADJUSTMENTS
Frames need adjusting?
With our on-site workshop, we offer a fast same-day service on all
our repairs and adjustments and we can fit lenses into your old or new frames while you wait.
